Now if you started with a full set of cards a la Gloomhaven, then you’d at least be weighing using your optimal cards now vs saving them for later. With whatever set of cards you’ve drawn, there’s always going to be an optimal play - meaning not much choice. Perhaps you mulligan, but you again rely on card randomness to get those puzzle pieces you need. I get the sense that you’re presented with a puzzle piece that you either have or don’t have the pieces to fit towards completion. I don’t see much in the way of any kind of tactical card play. I really like the theme, co-op campaign, and story telling elements, but the combat and diplomacy resolution I find to be severely lacking. I think I’ve managed to talk myself out of the Tainted Grail Kickstarter. I'm legit just trying to make sure I get my stuff (and remaining cordial via all email exchanges), but he's not having it. I've got no idea who pee'd in this dude's cereal, but yikes. He keeps dodging my request telling me that I'm trying to screw him over and that board gamers are shitty people and BGG admins and staff are the worst. I simply told him that the dispute is a formality and I just need him to provide me and PayPal with evidence that the shipping address was changed and/or some comment from SFG regarding the status of my pledge.
I reached out to him via email and he responded with a super hostile email. Fortunately, I paid via Goods & Services. The guy deleted his BGG account and originally asked me to pay as a gift. PayPal was surprisingly helpful and opened the dispute despite being over a year and half old. I contacted the guy AND opened a dispute with PayPal. I'm gonna have to kickstart that I've been wanting to get on eBay and buy an old POG collection for a while now. Standard slammer hitting milkcaps but your character (the characters from Dice Throne) has a power that can heal your life points or do other things depending on actions like being able to catch your slammer after it bounces off the stack.
